The mission of the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) is to achieve the highest level of scientific and technological excellence in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Its research lines focus on the newly-discovered physical and chemical properties that arise from the behaviour of matter at the nanoscale. ICN2 has been awarded with the Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence distinction for three consecutive periods (2014-2018 and 2018-2022 and 2023-2026). ICN2 comprises 20 Research Groups, 7 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, and 2 Research Platforms, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Job Title: Maintenance and Services Officer (Maternity replacement)  

Research area or group: Maintenance

Description of Group/Project: The Maintenance and Services Department members work to keep over 60 laboratories in optimal conditions and take on the building remodelling. The department also oversees management of external service providers such as those involved in cleaning, gardening, reception, security, courier and post.​

Main Tasks and responsibilities: The candidate will give support to the administrative tasks in the Maintenance and Services Department.

• Record the fingerprint access to new people in the institute and maintain existing.
• Order office material for the Institute and control of it.
• Manage internal and external courier services.
• Check the invoices from the facility suppliers.
• Follow up the bought done by the department.
• Support preparing and send institutional e-mails from the department.
• Cover the absences of the receptionists during the day.
• Do order supplies.

Requirements:

• Education: FP Administrative or similar
• Knowledge: Catalan and Spanish. Advanced level of English.
• Professional Experience: Minimum one year in administrative support
• Personal Competences: Attention to detail. Good communication skills. Flexibility. Team Player. Empathic and Service oriented

Experience working with highly qualified and international professionals will be valued.

Summary of conditions:

• Full time work (37,5h/week)
• Contract Length: Temporary
• Location: Bellaterra (Barcelona)
• Salary will depend on qualifications and demonstrated experience.
