Description of Group/Project:

The focuse of this group is on discovering and technological development of the cutting edge nanotechnology and nanomaterials based simple biosensing platforms by employing and controlling their architectures at both nano and macro scales with the objective to link together nano and macro worlds.

Main Tasks and responsibilities:

Development of highly sensitive biomarker detection platforms based on lateral-flow and other paper-based sensors for biomarkers detection in the framework of a H2020 EU project. a) design of the detection platform; b) characterisation, optimisation of all the parameters and application in reak clinical scenarios

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Competences required:

Have a finished Master in chemistry/biochemistry/biotechnology/nanotechnology/electrochemistry.

R1 First Stage Researcher

Summary of conditions:

  • Full time work (37,5h/week)
  • Contract Length: 3 years.
  • Location: Bellaterra (Barcelona)
  • Salary will depend on qualifications and demonstrated experience.
  • Salary according to the cost of living in Barcelona.
  • Support to the relocation issues.
  • Life Insurance.

Estimated Incorporation date: As soon as possible.
